Back in 2011, current Washington Redskins defensive tackle Stephen Paea broke the NFL Combine record for most bench press reps at 225 pounds when he busted out 49. With the 2016 draft class going through the combine drills next week, there are 10 guys who have a legitimate chance of breaking Paea’s record.

Woods finished 2015 second on the Trojans with seven tackles for loss and the majority were due to his pure strength. At 6-feet tall and 329 pounds, his short arms should help him in the bench press.

Turner anchored one of the best offensive lines in the ACC at 6-foot-3 and 325 pounds. His ability to move defensive linemen should help him on the bench press.

Penn State's defense was one of the best in the Big Ten in 2016 and it had a lot to do with Austin Johnson plugging up the middle of the defense. His pure strength could give him an outside shot at the bench press record.

4. DT Vernon Butler, Louisiana Tech

A lot of people won't know who Butler is before he's drafted, but if you get a chance, watch some of his tape. He's strong as a bull and creates havoc in the backfield.

3. DT Jarran Reed, Alabama

Reed played in the middle of Alabama's dominant defensive line and he was the biggest reason why team's couldn't run against the Crimson Tide. He's so strong that offensive lineman just couldn't move him.

2. DT A'Shawn Robinson, Alabama

Robinson is an immovable object on the football field and it wouldn't surprise me to see him challenge the record. The only thing that may work against him is his longer arms.
