The Minnesota Vikings had a tremendous 2015 season as they beat the Green Bay Packers in the last game of the year to win the NFC North. That victory allowed them to host the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, and things were looking great until kicker Blair Walsh missed a field goal with 20 seconds left to cost the team a chance at advancing.
Here’s a recent full seven-round mock draft I did for the Vikings using FanSpeak’s mock draft simulator.
Round 1, No. 23 Overall: G Cody Whitehair, Kansas State

The Vikings only have three guards on their depth chart -- Brandon Fusco, Michael Harris and Zac Kerin -- and Harris is a free agent. Although guards don't typically go in the first round, Whitehair is the exception.
Round 2, No. 54 Overall: WR Michael Thomas, Ohio State

Although the Vikings seemed to have found a star in Stefon Diggs, there isn't a whole lot to be excited about in the rest of the receiving corps. Mike Wallace and Charles Johnson have regressed, and Thomas is getting comparisons to A.J. Green.
Round 3, No. 86 Overall: CB Zack Sanchez, Oklahoma

Terence Newman, Marcus Sherels and Josh Robinson are all free agents this offseason which makes grabbing a corner or two a priority for the Vikings. Sanchez is good enough to start right off the bat despite being projected to go in the middle rounds.
Round 4, No. 122 Overall: DT Maliek Collins, Nebraska

Sharrif Floyd is coming on at defensive tackle, but the Vikings could use another body at the position to get a better rotation. Collins could be disruptive for the Vikings' defense.
Round 5, No. 160 Overall: S Miles Killebrew, Southern Utah

Both strong safeties on the Vikings' depth chart, Andrew Sendejo and Robert Blanton, are free agents this offseason. Killebrew could come in and compete for a spot right away.
Round 6, No. 183 Overall: C Evan Boehm, Missouri

The Vikings have John Sullivan as their starter at center and Joe Berger as his backup, but both are north of 30 years old. Drafting a guy like Boehm would give the team time to develop him into their starter for years to come.
Round 7, No. 238 Overall: OT Ryker Matthews, BYU

Matt Kalil and T.J. Clemmings will likely be the Vikings' starters at tackle for the foreseeable future, but adding some competition and depth could be a good thing. Matthews likely wouldn't be ready to play right away anyways.
Round 7, No. 242 Overall: WR Keyarris Garrett, Tulsa

The Vikings need to keep adding pieces around Teddy Bridgewater. Garrett would be tremendous value in the seventh round, as he's a big receiver at 6-foot-4 who could help right away in the red zone.
