It’s not every day that events like the NHL Trade Deadline find a way to touch our hearts. In this particular instance, one did.

With the help of Jordyn Leopold, the daughter of Jordan Leopold, the Columbus Blue Jackets put together a deal to ship the veteran defenseman to the Minnesota Wild, his hometown team. The deal ended up happening as Columbus GM Jarmo Kekalainen made it clear that it’s not all about business.

It’s great to know that there are some folks in the sports world who have hearts.
