Chicago Blackhawks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning  – Game 5

Game time, TV: Saturday, June 13, 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC

Series Results:

Game 1: Blackhawks 2, Lightning 1 (Chicago Leads Series 1-0)

Game 2: Lightning 4, Blackhawks 3 (Series Tied 1-1)

Game 3: Lightning 3, Blackhawks 2 (Tampa Bay Leads Series 2-1)

Game 4: Blackhawks 2, Lightning 1 (Series Tied 2-2)

The Blackhawks came into this series (and the playoffs in general) with a ton of Stanley Cup experience. As a result, the Lightning deserve a ton of credit. They are tied with Chicago entering Game 5, after all.

READ: Stars Who Will Stay Put In 2015 NHL Free Agency

Entering Game 5, two big questions remain: Which stars will step up and from which team? For the Blackhawks, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews haven’t been lighting it up this series, and the same thing can be said about Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos. That said, Toews did put a puck in the back of the net in Game 4.

Although home-field advantage (ice in this case) is huge in any sport, and especially this late in the playoffs, both teams have won on each other’s ice.

Whether you are rooting for Chicago or Tampa Bay, expect nothing less than a showdown in Game 5. This one isn’t for all the marbles, but it will put the victor up 3-2 in this series, which usually spells doom for the loser.

Playing on the road or not, look for the Blackhawks’ experience (and stars) to take over to the max in the next game.

PREDICTION: Chicago wins, 4-2

Chicago Blackhawks' Scott Darling Robs Toronto Maple Leafs

The Chicago Blackhawks steamrolled over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night by a score of 7-2. Chicago did so with backup goaltender Scott Darling in net, and they didn't skip a beat. Darling's miraculous effort against Nick Spaling resulted in what many are calling a save of the year candidate.
