Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose Match At WWE WrestleMania Will Be Legendary

Following the brutal triple threat match at Fastlane this past weekend, two of the three competitors were without a fight for the show of shows on April 3 in Dallas. Dean Ambrose took a chair to his brother in arms Roman Reigns as well as to the beast himself Brock Lesnar, and it ended up costing both he and Paul Heyman’s favorite client the match and the opportunity at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. As expected this did not make the monster happy, and he made that point very clear by sending Ambrose to the hospital before RAW even came on the air this Monday night.

After yet another spectacular promo from Heyman, who was somehow able to step it up to a level above his normal amazing delivery and content, Ambrose made his miraculous return, arriving in the arena in the same ambulance that took him away. Of course this time he was driving it, and the segment went from spectacular to legendary. Ambrose essentially crawled, rolled and fell his way down to ringside, but Lesnar and Heyman promptly ignored him until he was able to get a microphone and lay down his challenge for WrestleMania.

Brock accepted the challenge for a no holds barred street fight by delivering a mighty F-5 to the Lunatic Fringe and the game is now on. The interactions between Ambrose and Lesnar this year have been absolutely great and now they get to take it into the ring. This was a very unexpected match, but clearly something changed and Bray Wyatt is out of the spot as Lesnar’s sacrifice this year.

What will Lesnar vs. Ambrose be like? It has already been very well established that Ambrose has exactly zero ability to muster up an effective offensive attack on the beast. He has the short-term equalizer in the low blow, which he may have learned to be Lesnar’s only weak spot from watching the feud with The Undertaker last summer, but that’s about it. Bringing the plunda, as the late Dusty Rhodes would say, is the only chance the former Shield member has in his quest to not be killed in front of 100,000 people.

Ambrose is going to get thrown around like a rag doll, then he’s going to throw himself and everything else not nailed down at Lesnar. Can Ambrose win? Sure, he could, but it’s not important. This match is all about what occurs between the bells, not what happens that leads to the final bell ringing. With the right amount of time and the opportunity to go outside the box, these men have the chance to produce one of the best WrestleMania matches of all time.
