Two of the best teams in the English Premier League this season, will face each other in a thrilling encounter as Chelsea will host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

The two sides are really close in the standings after eight matches. Chelsea have 17 points and sit in fourth place whilst the Citizens are spot below with only one point less.

Lots of the Blues’ chances will rely on the shoulders of their attacking duo formed by Fernando Torres and Eden Hazard. Both players scored on the team’s victory against Schalke 04 in the Champions League this past Tuesday and they will look to continue their staggering form against one of the top teams in England.

The Citizens, on the other hand, will place their offensive efforts in Sergio Agüero. The Argentinean led City’s comeback against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League this past Wednesday, netting the two goals of his team. The former Atletico Madrid has a knack for performing in big games and he will try to continue it against the Blues.

There will also be a very special contest in both benches as Manuel Pellegrini will collide one more time against Jose Mourinho. Both managers already have had several heated encounters through the media when both were in Spain. There’s little doubt that this match will be another chapter of their intense rivalry.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Manchester City

Both sides have very strong teams and this one could end up in a tie. The two sides haven’t been at their best to start the season and the match appears to be very even.
