As simple as it sounds, it's what they really need. A consistent goal scoring striker is something they must find either during the January transfer window or via someone within the squad stepping up their game. Currently their top goal scorer is Phil Bardsley with three, and he is a defender.
Fulham fans will be wishing that their new boss Rene Meulensteen is able to produce some form of fighting spirit in the South London camp. It's true that they have shown glimpses of togetherness in recent games, but it will easily disappear if results don't pick up. Without a fighting spirit they have no chance of staying up.
If anyone needs a striker the most in the Premier League currently, it's Palace. At Christmas they have scored a mere 11 goals all season. That is woeful. They will no doubt be scanning the market for someone, anyone capable of giving them the vital goals to stay up in the Premier League as the current crop is failing.
Carlton Cole has given Hammers fans a bit of hope with his recent goals, but West Ham have played the majority of the season without a recognized striker. The return of Andy Carroll would be a massive boost. No one outside the club is really sure as to quite why he is injured with so many rumors swirling, but whatever the reason is they would love him back as soon as possible. They've been reasonably solid in defense but have just lacked the goals.
(Yes that is Claudio Yacob in a Christmas jumper by the way). With Steve Clarke leaving the club just before Christmas, they need a new manager who can take a hold of a very talented group of players and help them move up the table. The Baggies won't want to be moving backwards again after looking comfortable in the League for a while now; an impressive new boss is vital.
Cardiff's ownerVincent Tan has made some out of touch changes at the club since his arrival. The latest being his pressure on manager Malkay Mackay who has done very little wrong in terms of results. Though Cardiff fans would love Mackay to stay, I can't help but feel they'd prefer Tan to just gain some footballing sanity over Christmas with the fear he will ruin the club.
Norwich is beginning to look decent again in attack with Gary Hooper finding his form. But at the back they are still looking very weak and it's costing them. No other club outside the bottom three has conceded as many as Norwich's 29, and their fans will be hoping it changes soon.
Aston Villa still looks like a strong, together unit, but their magic upfront from last season has now faded. For whatever reason, Christian Benteke is almost looking bored as he has looked nothing like the player he was last season. Villa fans will be hoping that somehow their big Belgian starts firing the goals in once again, whether it be due to a formation change or a mentality switch.
Steve Bruce's ideal Christmas present would surely be one thing -- a new striker at Hull City. They've scored just 14 goals in their 17 League games with their best goal total from a striker at just two goals. It was an area everyone recognized as Hull's weakness early on, and January has arrived finally for them to hunt out a reliable front man.
Swansea is doing reasonably well this season despite a slow start. But injuries to the likes of Michu and Nathan Dyer mean they're all of a sudden looking far weaker as a team. The Swans need anyone who is injury ridden to return as soon as possible with their Europa League ambitions taking a toll on their domestic form.
The Saints have failed to win in their last six games heading into Christmas -- a miserable period. Five of those sides are teams you would consider superior in terms of spending power and current squad depth. Had they found three points against those sides things would be looking far sweeter. So in the second half of the season they will be wishing for some results against the best.
Everyone wants consistently good results, but Manchester United fans will desire it more than anything else this winter. Signings and players returning from injury would be nice too, but the thing they need more than anything is a run of wins -- soon. They're no longer looking at clawing back a League title but instead just bringing themselves back into the mad push for fourth place. David Moyes has some 'easier' fixtures coming up, and United fans will be wishing they take advantage of them.
Spurs fans have been embarrassed by their side this season. Not only did they lose their star man Gareth Bale, but they've been thumped by sides around them whilst their rivals Arsenal battle at the top. New manager Tim Sherwood has the task now of bringing some spirit and credibility back to the club after having been made to look like a real mess in recent weeks.
Roberto Martinez has done superbly this season with his new club Everton. But with many youngsters such as Ross Barkley catching the eye, they will inevitably get bids from other clubs in Europe. Leighton Baines is a sought after talent too, so their wish this Christmas will be to retain those gems that have helped them move to just two points of the league leaders.
City fans have little to be unhappy about this Christmas. They sit just a point off of first place and have scored a massive 51 goals in their 17 games. If they get their away form fixed they will storm to the League title. That will be their one priority wish this Christmas.
I am sure Arsenal fans will agree with this one wish. Adding some new options in defense and upfront will boost their chances of silverware hugely. Olivier Giroud is beginning to look a little over relied on already, so the arrival of a new big name forward will make a lot of Gunners happy this Christmas.
I can't imagine they will be wishing for anything else as important as this in regards to their beloved Reds. They sit top of the Premier League, having won four consecutive games before Christmas, but the man at the center of it all has been Luis Suarez. If he gets injured Liverpool's chances of a first title in over two decades takes a huge hit whilst the priority finish in the top four would also be in doubt. Suarez has been their Cristiano Ronaldo, their Thierry Henry, their Didier Drogba -- the man who launches their side to the top of the table. /p>
