2013 NBA Draft Prospect Profile Video: James Southerland, Syracuse (SF)

At 6-foot-8, Syracuse forward James Southerland has some intriguing tools as an NBA prospect. Southerland, who might be more directed more so as a power forward given his size, has more than enough ability to play on the perimeter. Southerland has continued to improve in four seasons at Syracuse, but this past year was by far his best and in turn, he has a shot at hearing his named called within the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft.

Southerland has the ability to stretch the floor and shoot the three ball and given his size and length, he can play the perimeter on both sides of the basketball. Southerland had some eligibility issues early on in conference play this past year that somewhat derailed him, but he finished strong, scoring over 20 points on four separate occasions after returning.
