The Houston Texans might be the most talented team in the NFL. However, we’ve seen time and time again that the best team on paper rarely hoists the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year. Right now, the underachieving Texans are sitting at 2-2 and are slowly moving to the bottom of the AFC South.
If you ask me; Houston should have a 4-0 record and one of the biggest reason why the Texans don’t is because of their inept head coach.
When an ultra-talented squad like the Texans blow a 20-3 halftime lead in front of their home fans…the blame should immediately be placed on the guy in charge of it all. Teams looking to win a Super Bowl don’t blow three-score leads, especially in front of their home crowd.
At the end of the day; Kubiak hasn’t lived up to expectations and deserves to be fired either now or at the end of the season. Sure, some blame can be placed on quarterback Matt Schaub, yet the head coach deserves the punishment here as the Texans collectively blew Sunday’s game versus the Seattle Seahawks.
Kubiak’s road doesn’t get any easier as the Texans now face a four-week stretch that includes games against the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts. It’s safe to say that the Houston head coach can start packing his office.
