As if the “home-court advantage” wasn’t already enough for Dayton, the home-referee advantage was just what the Flyers needed to punch their ticket to the Round of 64. During a play-in game against the Boise State Broncos, Dayton delivered a late-game comeback while riding a raucous crowd and some poor decisions by the refs.
On the final shot, Derrick Marks got his defender up in the air, leaned in on the three-point shot and watched his disrupted attempt fall to the floor as the clock struck zero. There was no call despite what was an obvious foul, and Dayton is moving on to play Providence.
Foul, or no?
