Adrian Newey, Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer, to Depart Formula 1 Team

Red Bull’s esteemed chief technical officer, Adrian Newey, will leave the Formula One team in the first part of 2025, the team has announced to Milton Keynes, England, on Wednesday.

Newey has helped in Red Bull’s transformation into the Formula One powerhouse and will leave in the first three months of 2025 after almost two decades of service.

Newey talked about his emotions after a long and successful partnership with Red Bull.

Since he joined Red Bull in 2006, the team and Newey have combined to claim seven drivers’ titles and six constructors’ championships that include three consecutive crowns secured by Max Verstappen in recent seasons.

The team confirmed that he would step down from F1 design and focus on creating the RB17, Redbull’s first hypercar. It is likely that Red bull’s decision to announce that Newey would shortly be available to join another team after he quits his job might spark a mad scramble for his services.

As a result, he will be able to help a competing team prepare for the new era.
