NCAA Tournament First Round Preview: Duke vs. Lehigh
Paul Abell-US PRESSWIRE

Game: (2) Duke – (15) Lehigh 3/16 7:15 PM ET

Game Analysis:  Duke suffered one of the worst upsets in the tournament season after dropping a 62-59 loss to Florida State in the semis.  The Blue Devils still managed to get a second seed in the South bracket, but they easily cost themselves a number one seed.   Junior guard, C. J. McCollum, has carried Lehigh throughout the entire season, and the team won an outstanding 12 of their last 13 games.  McCollum also was sixth in the nation with 21.9 points per game, but also added 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.  Lehigh defiantly has some talent on their roster and could end up scaring the Cameron Crazies, even if only for half of the game.

Matchup to Watch: G Austin Rivers, Duke vs. G Mackey McKnight, Lehigh – Rivers has led the Duke offense since the moment he walked onto the floor this summer.  He has run Coach K’s offense flawlessly and his game winning shot against UNC earlier in the year quickly earned him a spot in the heart of all Duke fans.  The underrated Lehigh point guard, Mackey McKnight, will be guarding the athletic Rivers.   McKnight will certainly have his hands full though against one of the nation’s best young guards.

Prediction: Duke 83 – Lehigh 68
