Minnesota fans should be extra excited after tonights win because they did something Kentucky and Ohio State couldn’t do-beat Indiana in Bloomington.

Going into this game, Minnesota sat at the bottom of the Big 10 Conference standings. By the end of the night the Golden Gophers knocked off the Hoosiers 77-74.

What makes this win so impressive is it came in Bloomington on Indiana’s homecourt. This goes to show the parody of the Big 10 Conference, where anybody can beat anyone on a given night. Upsets like this validate the Big 10 as the best Conference in America this year.

The Gophers came in short-handed missing Trevor Mbakwe out with an injury. Give credit to Tubby Smith to have his Gophers competing at a high level despite this setback. They were led by Austin Hollins who scored 18.

Hoosier nation has no reason to worry however. Freshman of the year candidate Cody Zeller scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Indiana will learn from this loss and continue to challenge for Big 10 supremacy.
