Oklahoma Sooners’ 13-Win Season Vacated

Mark D. Smith-US PRESSWIRE
The Oklahoma Sooners basketball team has been placed on probation for the next three years after major rule violations. OU’s entire 2009-10 season that saw the Sooners winning 13 games, will be withdrawn.
The most terrible black cloud has been placed over college athletics the past year. From sex scandals, autograph’s being sold for tattoos, criminal activity, DUI’s after games, the ever-changing college football conference landscape and of course, the hated BCS. Every day it seems to be something new involving college sports. The newest controversy is the Oklahoma Sooners basketball team’s rule infractions. What’s next? I will have more on the Sooners probation once more information is released.

basketball dude, not football.
Tony,
I believe it is the OU Basketball program that received probation, not the football program. And yes, they only won 13 games that season.
