The Philadelphia Eagles fan base has been waiting to here from head coach Andy Reid.  So many questions have been lingering since owner Jeffrey Lurie gave his end of season press conference.  The huge question is a simple one:  Will coach Reid bring back defensive coordinator Juan Castillo?  That could only be answered by Andy himself.  The problem was, the question never got asked.

Andy Reid attended a Philadelphia 76ers game Wensday night against the New Jersey Nets.  Reid sat in a luxury box viewing the action.  At a point during the game, 76ers MC, Internet interviewer and sporadic sports-talk radio host, Matt Chord, got the rare chance to approach Reid with a few questions.  The end result:  big time fluff.

Reid was asked about the impending Super Bowl and drafting the 15th overall pick.  Andy addressed that the ‘Big Game’ would be a close one that is too tough to call.  Whoopee.  Reid skated on the draft question in typical Reid fashion:  avoidance.

The ball was dropped by interviewer Matt Chord.  It was a clear chance to get an idea of where Andy stands on bringing back the much maligned Juan Castillo.  To be fair, no one knows if the topic was deemed unapproachable by reid’s PR handlers.  Still, it would have been great to get any inclination as to where Andy Reid stood concerning Castillo’s future.

It was reported that Reid stayed the entire game that saw the 76ers loose in overtime.  Kudos to Reid for that.

The point I am trying to make is that Andy knows the fans are awaitng him to address team issues.  Why the silence?  I forgot, it is called arrogance.
