Anthony Gruppuso-US PRESSWIRE

It had to be tough for the Rangers not to look past Thursday’s tilt with the rival Islanders given what’s waiting for them on Friday. But the former New York was able to get the job done in their 4-2 win over the Isles. There’s no such thing as an easy game in the NHL, [...]

The Chicago Cubs made their second trade of this still somewhat young offseason, but it was a significantly bigger move than the first. While it has yet to become official, as it’s expected to be announced on Friday, the Cubs have agreed to deal setup man Sean Marshall to the division rival Cincinnati Reds in [...]

Jerry Lai-US PRESSWIRE

Let’s just face it. At this point, we really have no idea what the Cubs’ front office is doing. It’s been an air tight operation and the only news that has “leaked” has likely been because Theo Epstein has wanted it to leak. As tough as it is to speculate with a front office like [...]

Blackhawks Goaltender Corey Crawford Strong In Return To The Crease Against Habs

Filed: 22nd Dec 11 8:16 pm by
Rob Grabowski-US PRESSWIRE

I’ve been pretty resistant to use the word “controversy” in discussing the Blackhawks’ goalies this season, as much as Ray Emery has proven me wrong. There’s no doubt that Emery has been brilliant since “taking over” for starting goaltender Corey Crawford. After that 9-2 drubbing that the Edmonton Oilers handed Emery and the Hawks back [...]

It was a real blemish on one of the more exciting games to take place in the NHL this season. In the first period of the Blackhawks’ 3-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, Deryk Engelland left his feet in a check of young Hawks center Marcus Kruger. Kruger left the game and missed [...]

Viktor Stalberg Becoming A Key Player For The Chicago Blackhawks

Filed: 22nd Dec 11 2:30 pm by
Rob Grabowski-US PRESSWIRE

Alright, who is this guy and what has he done with Viktor Stalberg? “Embattled” might be too strong of a word to describe Stalberg, but he has taken his fair share of criticism from Blackhawks fans, many of which would have been perfectly happy with the Hawks cutting the 25-year-old forward loose this past offseason.
