Get the Razors Ready: Cuts for a Cause Lineup Announced
A week after the initial announcement of Cuts for a Cause on March 28, the Bruins have released a list of players who are going to part ways with their flow at the end of the month. There’s also a special non-player who is going to participate.
At the mercy of auction winners wielding razors will be:
- Shawn Thornton
- Patrice Bergeron
- Johnny Boychuk
- Jordan Caron
- Zdeno Chara
- Nathan Horton
- Chris Kelly
- David Krejci
- Milan Lucic
- Brad Marchand
- Adam McQuaid
- Mike Mottau
- Daniel Paille
- Rich Peverley
- Tyler Seguin
- Dennis Seidenberg
Caron and Mottau might be experiencing their first taste of ritualistic charity head-shaving, but it’s also nice to see the injured Horton and Peverley among the participants. The Boston Bruins Foundation is also conducting a raffle to determine who gets to shave Seguin.
But the non-player who’s going under the razor is none other than John Bishop, also known as ^BISH because that’s how he “signs” the tweets he creates under the official @NHLBruins Twitter account. Many fans may not even know what he looks like–here’s a picture–but after Cuts for a Cause, they’ll know both how he looks with and without hair.
Bidding is now open for prospective hairdressers here and the Seguin raffle is here. Both openings close on March 26.
