1972: Fred Stanfield cements his place in Boston Bruins history when he scores a hat trick en route to a Bruins 6-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues.
1983: Rick Middleton ties the record for points in a playoff game (also held by Phil Esposito) when he has six (two goals, four assists) during a 6-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.
A year ago today: The Bruins beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-2. David Krejci, Nathan Horton, Rich Peverley and Chris Kelly score while Tim Thomas fends off all but two of Montreal’s 36 shots.
