Delonte West is again feeling the pain from this lockout. The paychecks have stopped coming in and in his recent tweets the man reveals a very large issue facing some of these NBA players. The no paycheck might be OK, but the man has dependants to support. Thirteen people to support on a moderately high lifestyle is not cheap. Hell, supporting thirteen people on any budget is rough. Delonte also has to provide health insurance or pay the bills for medical expenses for both him and those thirteen dependants. Medical bills are not cheap. I cannot even imagine the cost of his bipolar medication without insurance. Every trip to even the doctor for a common virus is a couple hundred dollars and serious issues in the thousands. I am sure Delonte West has other expenses as well eating at his savings.
The problem is West has banked more money than most people. This means the feeling bad for him or West relating to the common man’s struggles financially are just not there. Any issues that he has financially are his own fault. I do hope that West and his fellow NBA players get going on a new deal instead of this stupid disbanding ploy. If they do, West can start raking in the dough again. Remember Go Green Or Go Home!!!!!!!!!!!
