Extreme Mile High Club?
Alex Torres & Hope Howell

Everybody’s heard of the “mile high club” but two California skydive instructors took it one when step further when they decided to ditch the plane and get busy in mid air.

Can we say “extreme mile high club?”

According to a report on KTLA.com, FAA officials are investigating the skydiving sex stunt, which by the way, was also videotaped.

The pornographic parachute jump was the brain child of adult film star Alex Torres aka VooDoo, who also moonlights as a skydive instructor for Skydive Taft in Bakersfield, California.

Torres and receptionist Hope Howell are shown in the video engaging in a sexual act prior to leaping out of the perfectly good plane. Only to pick up where they left off while plummeting towards the earth.

Talk about unsafe sex! Does a parachute count as protection?

Torres, posted the video to his adult blog. Too bad a teenager posted the video for all his underage friends to see. The video obviously spread quickly amongst students, and parents eventually notified authorities.

The article states that Torres came up with the idea in an attempt to get the attention of radio “Shock Jock” Howard Stern. Stern is know for his sexually explicit humor and I’m pretty sure mid-air coitus falls into that category.

Despite the sheer stupidity of the stunt, Police say it wasn’t illegal. No criminal charges will be filed because the sex was between two consenting adults and was not witnessed by anybody on the ground.

Torres and Howell aren’t out of the woods yet though. It’s possible they may have violation a federal regulation or two.

“Any activity that could distract the pilot while he’s flying could be a violation of federal regulations,” FAA spokesperson Ian Gregor said.

Needless to say Torres has been fired for the airborne escapade. As for his female partner, the company hasn’t decided what to do with her. It would seem to me it’s only a formality at this point. Her continued employment would only attract further unwanted attention for the company.

Although its possible business could be bolstered by all of this. After all you are not reading this because you like skydiving. Right?
