I’ve seen some weird soccer celebrations.  However, thanks to NBC Sports, I learned that’s a little bit past the one year anniversary of the weirdest celebration yet. On October 8,  Mirko Vucinic of Montenegro scored a goal against Switzerland to put them up 1-0 in a qualifier for the 2012 Euro Cup.  Like any rational man, Vuncinic then removed his shorts and began wearing them as a hat.

I’m not sure what exactly possessed Vucinic to remove his shorts, but I’m sure it was for a good reason.  Soccer is full of crazy personalities and that is what makes the game fun.  Let us remember the belated anniversary of Vucinic’s journey to celebrate a goal and make a fashion statement at the same time.
