In today’s world, it is hard to find uplifting stories sometimes.  However, the story of Trent Glaze is one of those uplifting ones.  The senior at Fairfield Union High in Ohio has muscular dystrophy.  That hasn’t stopped him from being a part of the varsity football team and he was one of the captains this year.

Fairfield had lost to Teays Valley, but the game wasn’t quite over.  The teams lined up for one more so Glaze, who had been named Homecoming King at halftime, could get his moment of glory.  Glaze got the ball and rolled into the end zone for a touchdown, which prompted the crowd to rush the field.

This is a great story.  Glaze had never missed a practice and he always supported his team.  This was a great gesture by both teams to allow him to score a touchdown.

Thanks to NBC Sports for the story.
