There’s been some big hits in Pee Wee games lately and this game in Florida is no exception.  The team in white (I assume) was trailing and decided to onside kick it.  They didn’t go for the typical onside kick and instead popped it straight up into the air.  The poor returner caught the ball after 12 yards and got dropped by the kicker.

The thing I don’t understand about the play was the penalty that was thrown.  As far as I know, that was a legal play.  It wasn’t an unnecessary hit and the ball went 10 yards.  Maybe the refs had a problem was how hard the hit was, but that looked like a clean hit to me.  Hopefully this play catches on, because it has the ability to work time and time again.
