5 Reasons Why The Sacramento Kings Are More Likely To Relocate To Seattle Than The New Orleans Hornets

The Seattle Supersonics once had a franchise in place.  The only crime was that the die hard Seattle sports fans did not get to see Durant mature over the years.  Justice will be restored though thanks to Christopher Hansen who funded the money to build a stadium that could host an NBA and NHL team in Seattle.

Seattle already has the Seahawks in the NFL, the Mariners in the MLB, and the Sounders in the MLS.

Seattle would join New York, Los Angeles, DC United, Philadelphia, Boston, and the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas region as the only major media markets with pro sports teams in NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and MLS.  That would be a great class of big name sports cities for Seattle to be honored in.

Despite the justice, one current NBA franchise will endure a defeat by relocating to Seattle.  Here are 5 reasons why Sacramento is more likely to relocate than New Orleans.

  1. Rmcd says:

you neglected Denver and Chicago as markets with all the different teams. I think hockey may or may not work in Seattle long term

  2. Rmcd says:

the other component in this is that Seattle has a major University right in town (UW) with a new stadium under construction as well. that is a lot of options. hopefully they can support all. NY, Chicago, Philly, DC don’t have Major college football IN town, no Temple doesn’t count. LA doesn’t have nfl but has 2 nba teams 2 mlb teams.
