Video: Southern Mississippi Band Racist Chant At Angel Rodriguez

Racism is apparently alive and well in Mississippi.  During Southern Mississippi’s first round game against Kansas State, the USM band decided it would try to intimidate Kansas State guard Angel Rodriguez.  The band began to chant “Where’s your green card?” while Rodriguez was shooting free throws.

What a despicable act.  Rodriguez is from Puerto Rico, which means he’s as American as any member of the USM band.  Hopefully a strong reprimand comes down from the Southern Mississippi athletic department.

By the way, Rodriguez and Kansas State got the last laugh.  The Wildcats advanced with a 70-64 win.
