CFL Player Trent Guy Returns Missed Field Goal 129 Yards For A Touchdown

Trent Guy is going to be in the CFL history books for the next few years. The player who is known for being shot in a club is in the records for taking a missed field goal 129 yards for a touchdown.  Seriously.

See, the CFL field is 110 yards long and the end zones are 20 yards deep.  This equals 130 yards for the possible length of a field.  That means Guy has the longest FG return in the league unless we want to get into half yards and such.  Other than that, this will be the longest return in a long time.

Not a bad day at the office for a guy who bounced around NFL training camps but could never stick in the league long enough to make the regular season.  He is still able to play football and it looks like he is succeeding up in Canada.  This is an extremely rare play and it is great to see him join the record books on it.

I would say that this play is going to be on the highlight reels but I am not sure if enough people actually watch the CFL for this to matter.  It is a great play but the CFL is a league that does not get a lot of American attention.  The rules are different and it is much harder to follow for Americans than the good old NFL.

Either way, big ups to Guy on having this type of return.
