Virat Kohli returned to form Saturday in Adelaide as India defeated Pakistan by 76 runs. Sure he hit a century, but the 107 runs he put up broke some records.

Just how legit was his performance?

According to Reuters stats, Kohli's 107 is now the record for the highest individual score in all India-Pakistan clashes at the World Cup.

Kohli set some other records as well. He scored his 22nd ODI hundred, now on par with Sourav Ganguly. Tendulkar is the only cricketer to have more than these two.

Kohli's performance also directly led to India's highest total (300/7) ever achieved in an India-Pakistak World Cup match.

How focused is Kohli this time around? He had support staff bowl at him from the top of a stool to better prepare for the challenge of going up against pace bowler Mohammed Irfan. That sort of preparation followed by this kind of a performance is proof that Kohli will be one of the top batsmen at this year's tournament.

He has been termed as Tendulkar's batting successor - Kohli is clearly well deserving of such praise.
