Did an Altercation with Kevin Durant Affect Russell Westbrook’s Wednesday Performance?
Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

The only thing that can hold the Oklahoma City Thunder back from an NBA title is an implosion in the relationship between stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.  Once again, controversy has struck the Thunder, even in victory.  A confrontation between Durant and Westbrook broke out in the second quarter as Westbrook was en route to an awful game.

Westbrook finished with 4 points on 0 for 13 shooting and had six assists compared to four turnovers.  After Westbrook snapped on Thabo Sefolosha.  Westbrook and Durant got into an argument and had to be separated and Westbrook wasn’t the same afterwards.

We all knew this was possible.  We saw it happen in the Western Conference Finals when Westbrook went hero mode and failed.  He needs to realize that he is a complement to Durant, not the actual star.  Trading the star from UCLA shouldn’t be out of play.

Sam Presti should dial up Boston and see if they could work a Westbrook for Rajon Rondo swap.  Rondo knows his place as a facilitator and would be energized to get off the sinking ship known as the Celtics.  This feud can’t be allowed to bubble any longer.  A blowup in a regular season game against Memphis is one thing.  If it happens again in the playoffs, the Thunder could be watching a chance at the title slip away.

blame Kd for weatbrooks foul-up? i think not. from the first time i saw westbrook play i thought he was trouble. he is a snot nose kid who knows nothing about being a team player. trade him and fast! else okc will loose a lot of support.

Trade Westbrook? You must be a Thunder hater. It will never happen and shouldn’t happen. Westbrook is a great compliment to KD and is an excellent team player. He is not greedy with the ball as his assist stats in both the regular season and the playoffs last year indicate.
