Bad news for San Antonio Spurs fans.  Star guard Manu Ginobili suffered a broken left hand during Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.  The Spurs are in the process of getting blown out and it won’t get any better without Ginobili.

I would imagine Manu is out for about 6 weeks.  I don’t know if the Spurs have enough depth to survive this compressed season without Manu.  He’s their best crunch time scorer and an invaluable member of the team.

This could mean the Spurs will miss the playoffs and the swan song of Tim Duncan will be for naught.  I don’t imagine Duncan playing much longer and this could be the last chance for the Spurs to win the title.

We will keep you updated on this injury as more information is revealed.
