The Golden State Warriors certainly have a number of exciting guards who can score but they are still looking for another guard who can add a spark off the bench and they may have found it. The Golden State Warriors are close to signing point guard Nate Robinson multiple sources have confirmed. The signing of Robinson could come as soon as Wednesday and join the team Friday in Los Angeles when the Warriors are set to take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Robinson is in his sixth year in the NBA and began last season with the Boston Celtics and appeared in 55 games before being traded in mid-season to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Robinson averaged just 7.1 points in 17.9 minutes with the Celtics and only 30 minutes total in four appearances with the Thunder.

Robinson has averaged 11.3 points in 23 minutes throughout his career and gained national popularity when he won two slam dunk contests at only 5-foot-9. Although Robinson is not an All-Star point guard who is going to come in and give you 25 points every night he is a decent player who can come in and give you a spark when your team is in a bit of a lull, like he did with the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals.
