Time for Krypo-Nate?
Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

Entering the season without an NBA city to call home, and then finding himself on a team chalk full of undersized guards, Nate Robinson didn’t figure to see much time on the court. However, now with Stephen Curry injured, yet again, and Monta Ellis leaving tonight’s game after an elbow to the face, it was Krypto-Nate to the rescue.

After seeing 30-plus minutes on the court, Robinson responded with 17 points and 10 assists off the bench and helped the Warriors secure a victory over Cleveland. While this was only one game, and it was against a mediocre team in the Cavs, it was still a positive sign for both Robinson and the Warriors. He is playing in a system not unlike the one he showed us his best with the Knicks, and with Curry and Ellis regularly in street clothes, Robinson figures to have earned a boost in minutes for the foreseeable future.

And as I have previously stated, I believe the Warriors need to trade one of their two starting guards, Ellis and Curry. If their front office guys begin to see things the way I do, moving one of their undersized guards for a more fitting piece, Robinson’s court time would only increase that much more. Either way, tonight’s performance should at very least grant him some short term value, making Krypto-Nate a player to keep an eye on.
