LeBron James To Return To The Cleveland Cavaliers As A Free-Agent?
Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

When LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat in 2010 he instantly became the most hated man in all of Ohio. There were different reason for the hate towards James varying from the way James announced his to decision to the belief that he simply abandoned the Cavaliers. Since James departed to South Beach he has been unwelcome in Cleveland and friends close to James say that it has affected him.

James’ time in Cleveland was not what he would have liked it to be, he did not win an NBA championship and only got to the Finals once when the Cavaliers got swept by the Spurs in 2007. So one might think that James would be excited about the opportunity to play in Miami seeing how the team went to the NBA finals in his first season there and are now widely considered to be the front-runner to win the NBA title this season. But much to the contrary it seems that James is upset with certain aspects of the Heat organization.

James still enjoys playing alongside two of his best friends, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, but he does not like the way that team president Pat Riley runs the organization. James, according to a report by Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio, “doesn’t particularly care for the heavy-handed and disciplined style of team president Pat Riley.” James can opt-out of his current contract with the Heat in 2014 and there is growing speculation that that is exactly what he will do if Riley is still team president.

Sources close to James also added that the team that James has atop his list is the Cleveland Cavaliers. James has never publicly said this, of course, which is in his best interest seeing how nearly everyone in Cleveland can’t stand him. If James does indeed wish to come back to his home roots of Cleveland he will have to consider many factors. First off will Cavaliers fans welcome him back after what he did to them, and second is he willing to leave fan’s of a franchise upset once again as he did in Cleveland?

Only James will be able to answer these key questions once the time comes for him to possibly opt-out of his current contract but I’m sure if the Heat were to win a title, or maybe even a few, then he would certainly reconsider his stance on this whole situation. Ultimately, just like every other superstar in the NBA, James is going to go exactly where he wants to because as we’ve learned in the past spoiled stars who constantly complain about their current situation always get their way.
