Former Nuggets guard JR Smith dropped 60 points on Wednesday while playing in China for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls.

Smith went a ridiculous 14-18 from beyond the 3-point line en route to a 60 point, 8 rebound, and 6 assist night. His team went on to beat the Qingdao Double Stars 122-110 to extend their Chinese Basketball League lead to 4 1/2 games over the Beijing Ducks.

Smith continues to lead the CBA averaging 33.9 points per game. He’s always been known for high scoring outputs during his time in the NBA, usually coming off the bench raining 3 balls and being a spark plug.

However, Smith has had his troubles in China. He was accused of faking an injury after his first game in the league as well as his sister getting into a brawl with other Chinese fans.

So is it worth it for an NBA team to take a risk on Smith when his contract is up over seas? Not really, but if a team is really desperate for some scoring or flashy play then they might take a chance.

My opinion?

Smith isn’t worth the trouble but the man can score.
