Brian Scalabrine Stars In White Mamba Commercial
Brian Scalabrine is basically an assistant coach/mascot for the Chicago Bulls at this stage of his career. However, that has not stopped him from being one of the most entertaining players in the league. Scal goes by the White Mamba, either an homage to or a rip off of Kobe Bryant’s Black Mamba nickname. In this wacky commercial, Scalabrine shows us the life of the White Mamba.
I must admit, this commercial is insane, yet it is perfect. It sums up Scalabrine perfectly. He’s extremely confident in his abilities, yet he realizes that he is basically a victory cigar at this point. That ability to admit that is tough for players in highly competitive situations. However, he handles it without any issue whatsoever.
Scal probably won’t be back with the Bulls next season and he may retire. In fact, I would be shocked if he still plays. Look for him to move into a coaching position as soon as possible. Heck, he might even be a great announcer. The sky is the limit for Scal, but just not on the basketball court anymore. For one of the most charismatic players in the league, that might not be a bad thing.
I love the White Mamba. I hope that Scalabrine succeeds in whatever he does the rest of his career in basketball. He brings humor and makes teams fun to watch. Anyone that can give pull off a commercial like this is that good.
