Alexey Shved Could Be A Steal In 2012 NBA Draft Or In Free Agency
Not many people know about Russian point guard Alexey Shved. That is okay, because I did not know much about him either. After a little bit of research, I believe that Shved might just be the steal of the 2012 NBA Draft.
Alexey Shved has been on the radar of some teams for a while and looks to be another Goran Dragic type. That is not a bad things, especially because Shved is not projected to get drafted. I would expect that a team that has good international scouting could steal him with a late round pick or sign him quickly in free agency.
He plays a very Euro game, which is not a bad thing at all. If Alexey Shved gets a little bit stronger, he could be a big time player in the league. He might take a couple years to develop, but he could be a starting point guard before long.
If his shooting picks up a bit, he’s going to be a starter in this league. A good team could cover up for his issues on defense and turn him into a great player. I believe he is worth the risk.
Make sure you keep an eye on Alexey Shved. He has a ton of talent and some guys believe that he could be a lottery pick if more people knew about him. In fact, many thought he could be drafted a couple of years ago, but that was not to be. That means he would be a bigger steal than previously thought.
