Fantasy Golf Rankings for World Golf Championship
Allan Henry-US PRESSWIRE

By Adam McGill

Fantasy Golf is bigger than it has ever been; with the sudden return of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlory grabbing the number one spot in the world, and Lefty doing what Lefty does.  The World Golf Championship is an opportunity for the best golfers in the world to compete head-to-head against each other, or it just gives fantasy addicts another reason to have a draft.  Below are my top ten golfers for the next stage of the WGC:

1. Rory McIlroy – McIlroy is the new number one player in the world, but will have to quickly defend his title.

2. Phil Mickelson – “Lefty” has been playing flawless golf in the last month, but for some reason is being heavily overlooked this week.

3. Luke Donald – Donald recently lost his spot as the world’s top golfer, so expect the 2011 PGA Player of the Year to start playing like it.

4.  Lee Westwood – Westwood has back-to-back top five finishes and is playing as well as anyone in the world.

5. Tiger Woods – Woods shot a phenomenal 62 in his final round last week, as the Tiger has finally been let out of his cage.

6. Nick Watney – Watney is the defending champion of the event and loves to play at the Doral Golf Resort is Miami.

7. Bill Haas – Haas won the Northern Trust Open last month and his swing has been picture perfect ever since.

8. Dustin Johnson – Johnson has been competitive in every tournament this season and is a great sleeper for the WGC.

9. Keegan Bradley – The kid seems to be in the top five at every event and is swinging a beautiful club right now

10.  Webb Simpson – Simpson is a great sleeper for the WGC-Cadillac Championship, as he is averaging a respectable 68.6 strokes per round.
