Fantasy Football: If You Can Trade Tom Brady, Do It

Tom Brady

Mark L. Baer- USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady has his hands full with his wide receiver core. Especially with the fact that receiver Danny Amendola will be out for lengthy period of time with a sports hernia injury, it is safe to say that Brady owners should deal him quickly.

What people asking Brady to do is turn nothing into something quickly, and that isn’t going to happen. Rob Gronkowski is expected to return soon, but it is still unknown if he will play in Week 4. If Brady is the best you’ve got at quarterback, you won’t be winning your fantasy league.

It was laughable the way people thought that Brady would just make everyone better because he is Brady. Last time I checked, the receivers have to catch the ball too. And so far in general, Julian Edelman, Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson haven’t been living up to their end of the bargain consistently. It may lead to impatience from Brady owners for what looks like a rough road ahead.

My advice for Brady owners who are staying competitive in their leagues right now is that if Brady goes off against the Atlanta Falcons this week, it will be the best time to shop him because the next six games for the New England Patriots‘ offense will not be pretty. They will be going up against defenses that have proven to either be stout or respectable in the 2013 season from Weeks 5 through 11:

Cincinnati Bengals
New Orleans Saints
New York Jets
Miami Dolphins
Pittsburgh Steelers
Carolina Panthers

Think long and hard about keeping Brady.

Amendola is listed as questionable for week 4 which means he will likely be back in week 5.. and the patriots have one of the easiest schedules in the league.. Your article is almost as dumb as your advice and your name.. Wola lol
