Week 12 Fantasy Football IDP: Linebacker Sleepers

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Each week of the fantasy football season, there are plenty of sleeper articles out there for offensive players. However, there are never enough IDP sleepers. So to help you set your final lineup in IDP leagues, here are my top fantasy sleeper linebackers for Week 12.

LB Clay Matthews, Green Bay Packers – Matthews is back on the field after spending weeks recovering from thumb surgery.  Most fantasy owners are still relegating the All-Pro to the bench, though. Matthews has racked up six sacks in six career games against the Detroit Lions and the linebacker will be a must-start in all IDP formats this Sunday.

LB Jonathan Bostic, Chicago Bears – Chicago faces a St. Louis Rams squad that has been running the ball all over the field in recent weeks. St. Louis RB Zac Stacy has run the ball 26.3 times per game over the last three weeks and the team has become very dedicated to establishing the run with their new back. Bostic is the main man in the middle in Chi-town after the injuries to D.J. Williams and Lance Briggs and the rookie should get plenty of tackle opportunities against the run-heavy Rams.

LB David Harris, New York Jets – Harris has impressively gone over nine tackles in three of his last five games. He will fortunately face another run-heavy offense this weekend, in the Baltimore Ravens, so fantasy owners can expect another strong tackle-performance from the linebacker. Harris should easily finish this week with eight hits.
