For any fantasy baseball team, starting the right players is unsurprisingly the key to success. This is especially true in the immensely popular daily leagues, where a single player can mean the difference between a big payday and crushing disappointment. Based on matchups and talent, the following five players could all be in store for an outstanding day on June 24 and deserve your utmost consideration.

This speedster has really heated up at the plate in June. He's hitting at a .325 clip this month, but has taken it up a notch with a .390 average over his last 10 games. He'll square off against lefty Drew Smyly this evening, and that should bode well for more success. Andrus has really hit left-handers well this year as he's batting .338 against them, plus right-handed bats are hitting 131 points higher against Smyly than lefties.

This fellow is already having one of the best months of his career, but he's turned the jets on the past three weeks. In his last 17 games, he's batting an outstanding .385. plus has nine RBIs and nine runs scored to boot. The Philadelphia Phillies and starter David Buchanan will be McGehee's foes today, and that should be good news. Buchanan owns an ugly 4.95 ERA on the season, plus McGehee is batting .340 versus right-handed pitching.

After going through a short lull earlier in the month, Cabrera's bat is back with a vengeance. He's batting a smooth .500 over his last six games, plus has chipped in four RBIs and seven runs scored. He should be able to keep it rolling today when he faces starter David Phelps. Not only is Phelps allowing right-handers to bat .305 against him this year, but Cabrera owns a .455 career average against him in 11 at-bats, including two HRs.

V-Mart continues to roll in the month of June with six HRs, 15 RBIs, and 13 runs scored already. He's likely drooling at the thought of facing one of the worst pitchers in baseball this evening. Colby Lewis and his atrocious 5.97 ERA and 1.86 WHIP will start for the Texas Rangers in Arlington this evening. Left-handers are batting an amazing .376 against him to this point, plus Martinez is hitting .349 on the road with 11 HRs in 126 at-bats.

Raise your hand if you saw this career rejuvenation coming (put your hand down, you liar!). Kazmir is easily on pace for his best statistical season, and has been absolutely lights-out of late. The lefty is 5-1 over his past eight starts, plus sports an exceptional 1.61 ERA over that span. Today, he'll face the lowest-scoring home team in baseball in the New York Mets, who have managed to plate just 3.11 runs per home contest this season.
