5 Golfers To Avoid During 2014 Greenbrier Classic
There won't be many big names heading down to West Virginia this week. So to help you pick your fantasy foursome, here are five fantasy golfers to avoid at all costs during the 2014 Greenbrier Classic.
5. D.A. Points
5. D.A. Points
Sometimes during these smaller tournaments, Points ends up being a solid value pick. Unfortunately, this is not one of those weeks. Points has shockingly missed the cut in 10 of his last 11 tournaments and has looked absolutely terrible. He should be avoided in all formats this week.
4. Scott Stallings
4. Scott Stallings
Stallings has not recorded a top-20 finish since winning the Farmers Insurance Open in January. He has also missed the cut seven times and finished outside the top-60 three times. Stalling will be too risky to grab this week.
3. Luke Guthrie
3. Luke Guthrie
Guthrie has missed the cut in six of his last nine tournaments this season. He also missed the cut here last year and has proven that he isn't worth the trouble in West Virginia. Guthrie will be a huge gamble this week and will likely once again miss the cut.
2. Patrick Reed
2. Patrick Reed
After his 11th place finish at Congressional, Reed’s value will be pretty high this week. However, he has still been pretty inconsistent this season, as he has missed the cut in five of his last nine tournament appearances. Let someone else deal with the headache this weekend.
1. Jonas Blixt
1. Jonas Blixt
Blixt won this tournament last year and he will be a very popular fantasy sleeper this week as a result. In his last four tournaments, though, Blixt has missed the cut here times and recorded a T75 at THE PLAYERS. He is in a serious slump right now and won’t be worth the asking price this week at The Old White TPC.
