With three multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, this slugger looks to be breaking out of his recent slump. He has an excellent matchup this evening that is likely to lead to more success. Nathan Eovaldi will take the hill vs. the Nats today, and he's been torched for five earned runs or more in five of his last eight outings. On top of Eovaldi's struggles, LaRoche also owns a tidy .455 average against him in 11 career at-bats.

Back from a lengthy DL trip, this speedster seems to have rediscovered his swing. Bonifacio really struggled at the plate in May and June, but is batting a solid .333 in six July contests. The Cubs' leadoff hitter has a great matchup with Colorado Rockies lefty Yohan Flande tonight. Flande sports an atrocious 7.20 ERA in four starts for the Rockies, and Bonifacio has lit up lefties to the tune of a .381 average on the season.

This All-Star is swinging a pretty hot stick the past couple weeks, having hit safely in 11 of his past 13 games with three HRs and 10 RBIs. Donaldson has tormented southpaws this season with a whopping 10 HRs in just 90 at-bats, and will square off against a mediocre one today. Brett Oberholtzer will get the nod vs. the A's in this one, and to go along with an ugly 5.08 home ERA, right-handers are batting an even .300 against him on the season.

Bautista is known to be quite streaky at the plate, and it looks like a fire just got lit underneath him. Toronto's slugging left fielder is batting a lofty .429 over his past six games, and has pounded three HRs over that span. A big day could be in store as the Jays take on Clay Buchholz and the Boston Red Sox. Buchholz sports an awful 6.32 home ERA on the season, and has allowed 32 extra-base hits in 93.2 innings of work in 2014.

This fireballer ranks No. 1 among all starting pitchers with an impressive 11.33 K/9, and has fanned at least eight batters in 11 of his past 14 outings. Though he's had some hiccups on the road of late, he'll pitch at home today where his ERA sits at an impressive 2.49 on the season. The New York Yankees will be his opponent this evening, and in four career starts against them, Darvish has posted a dazzling 1.87 ERA.
