The wide receiver position in fantasy football is probably the most exciting one because these guys can have incredible games. The real question now is which relatively unknown WR is going to surprise the league with incredible performances in 2014, and how can you get your hands on him? This list may provide some clues.

If Brandin Cooks keeps on rising on the boards, then he's going to lose his sleeper status, but for now, let's call him a sleeper. QB Drew Brees really needs no introduction; the man is a machine. Brees is going to have a lot of fun this season slinging the ball around to his speedy WRs and Cooks is expected to use his speed to get behind defenders a lot in 2014. If you want Cooks, you can draft him late, but not too late, or he'll be gone.

4. Sammy Watkins

He's already a YouTube sensation from the practice clips that have leaked where he's snatching passes out of the air with one hand, but can Sammy Watkins be effective with the Buffalo Bills' young QB, E.J. Manuel? I thought the same thing about WR Josh Gordon last season who played with a plethora of QBs, but seemed to never fall off his game. Watkins could easily be this year's Gordon and you definitely don't want to miss out on that.

Goodbye, Miles Austin; hello, Terrance Williams. That's just the way of the NFL. For some strange reason, the Dallas Cowboys like to pass on obvious rushing downs, but this is great news for you if you draft Williams. QB Tony Romo gets a lot of flack for his failures, but his fantasy numbers are great, so Williams should see plenty of passes come his way in 2014. He scored six TDs with only 44 REC last season and he could double that this season.

2. Riley Cooper

Second-year Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles is a stud and he's going to put up 30-plus TDs this season. WR Riley Cooper hauled in eight TDs last year, so he is going to be Foles' top option for big plays in the air. Cooper has deceptive speed or so they say, and great hands, so if he reaches double-digits in the TD department, don't be surprised. More importantly, don't forget to pick him up in the late rounds while others are sleeping on him.

1. Emmanuel Sanders

The No. 1 WR sleeper in my opinion is Emmanuel Sanders because he just has to have a great year. Last season, Peyton Manning was lights out and Eric Decker was said to be "left out" to the tune of 87 REC and 11 TDs. With Ben Roethlisberger as his QB last year, Sanders had 67 REC and six TDs and those are solid numbers, but Manning will give him a bigger boost in 2014. Missing out on this WR would be a cardinal sin that you can't afford to commit.
