Daily fantasy football leagues are oftentimes decided by who's quarterback performs the best and which team found the top bargain picks. If you're deciding to take the cap hit and pay a king's ransom for your QB, make sure to pick the right one or else you're in for a Sunday riddled with disappointment.

Here's a look at five QBs to target in Week 1.

Foles is one of the cheaper top tier QBs this week at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville has a top corner in Johnathan Cyprien that will hinder the Eagles somewhat, but the rest of the Jaguars' defense isn't built to stop the Eagles' backs, as well as their two tight ends Zac Ertz and Brent Celek over the middle. Even if they keep RB LeSean McCoy semi under control, Foles projects to carve them up.

Cutler's priced similarly to Foles, but a bit cheaper and I cannot argue with taking either over the other. The Buffalo Bills' defense was an underrated unit for parts of the 2013 campaign, but the loss of Jairus Byrd hurts, and the franchise is in disarray with recent issues between the head coach and front office folk. Buffalo's secondary is not built to stop Brandon Marshall, let alone Marshall and Alshon Jefferey on each side.

3. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

The New York Giants have a decent secondary, but the Lions' offense is too dynamic for New York to put the brakes on them all game. I'm expecting the Giants to win this game indoors on the fast track, but just narrowly and each team is going to put a fair amount of points on the board. Spend a little extra for Stafford instead of saving a few dollars on Andrew Luck or Tom Brady.

2. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

The Atlanta Falcons' defense is one of the most suspect units in the NFL and has absolutely no chance to stop Drew Brees indoors even though the game is in Atlanta. I'm expecting this to be the highest scoring game of the week with New Orleans squeezing out a win on the road. After Mark Ingram loosens up Atlanta's front seven, expect Brees to have a field day with 300 yards and three TDs. He's worth the steep price this week.

Not sure there is much to say about Manning this week. He's up against his former team, the Indianapolis Colts, and although he didn't play so well in his first game against them in Indianapolis, there was a ton of emotion and nerves surrounding that game upon his return. This game is much different being played in Denver. The Colts' defense stinks for a playoff caliber team and Manning will dissect it. Expect 300 yards and three TDs minimum.
