Andre Williams Fantasy Football Week 6 Projection

One of the top waiver wire picks in every fantasy football format this week will be RB Andre Williams of the New York Giants. The rookie has been thrust into the team’s starting role after starter Rashad Jennings suffered a knee injury and he is about to become a full-time starter.

Once Jennings went down, Williams was proved to be a workhorse. He ended the day with 20 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown. He also added two receptions for 22 yards. Williams has quietly racked up over 60 yards in back-to-back contests to go along with a touchdown in each game.

Williams is a powerful downhill rusher that runs violently. He has a stout frame (5-foot-11, 230 pounds) and the former Boston College standout knows how to break tackles. His game is almost reminiscent of former Giant RB Brandon Jacobs.

The Giants have a strong matchup this week against a lackluster Philadelphia Eagles defense. The unit is currently 29th in the league against the pass (274.2 yards/game) and 24th against the run (132 yards/game). This is an extremely favorable matchup for the young back and he should shine this weekend for fantasy owners.

Williams has earned a roster spot in 10-man leagues regardless, but now the case for adding him is even more apparent . Williams is about to take on a huge workload and the back is primed to have a breakout performance in Week 6 against an aging defense.

Week 6 Prediction: 21 ATT., 89 YDS, 2 REC., 13 YDS, 1 TD
