T.Y. Hilton Fantasy Football Week 7 Projection

As the Indianapolis Colts‘ season moves onward, the battle for the No. 1 wide receiver position finally seems to be over, with T.Y. Hilton grabbing the reigns for fantasy owners.

Hilton has had at least 90 yards receiving in his past three games, and is now averaging 100.7 yards per game after exploding for 223 yards and a score in Week 6 against the Houston Texans. Although Hilton has absolutely torched the Texans throughout his career, he has still shown that he is quarterback Andrew Luck‘s big playmaker in their offense, and that will surely continue.

This Sunday, the Colts take on the Cincinnati Bengals, a team that is allowing 257.4 yards through to the air to opposing passing corps. Look for Hilton to continue to be the primary benefactor of Luck’s MVP level of play, as he will hit that 90-yard plateau once again in Week 7, and perhaps do even more.

The Bengals do possess a stout defense, but after Cam Newton and a weaponless Carolina Panthers squad put 37 points up on the board against them, it’s just hard to bet against Hilton and co. The Colts boast the title of being the No. 1 scoring team in the NFL, and I expect Hilton to run wild in Indianapolis on Sunday.

No, he won’t hit that 200 yard mark again, but there’s no reason to expect anything less than 95 yards and a touchdown. Start with confidence, as the Colts are a sure fire bet to throw the ball at least 45-50 times, with almost 100 percent of the down field targets going to Hilton.

Week 7 Prediction: six catches, 96 yards, one touchdown
