Tony Romo Fantasy Football Week 7 Projection

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is coming off one of the most impressive games in his career in a Week 6 road win against the Seattle Seahawks, as he threw for 250 yards and two scores against the Legion of Boom.

Romo has now thrown for multiple touchdowns in four straight games and will look to continue his hot-streak in Dallas on Sunday, as a matchup looms with the divisional rival New York Giants. For fantasy purposes, there’s not a bigger question than how the Giants’ defense will perform against Romo and the lethal offense of the Cowboys.

The Giants are allowing the ninth most passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks, but they are allowing just the ninth fewest points to fantasy quarterbacks. So, what will happen Sunday? Following the numbers above, Romo would be in for big yardage day, but would find it difficult to reach the end zone. Romo not finding pay dirt simply won’t happen. No. 9 will torch this secondary, a unit that is allowing 261.7 yards per game.

In his last six games against New York, Romo has thrown for an average of 308.5 yards per game and has tossed for 14 touchdown passes. I expect him to work Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Jason Witten early and often in what should be a lopsided victory at home.

In addition, the Giants also allow 116.3 yards on the ground, and no one, I repeat, no one has been able to stop DeMarco Murray. This bodes well for Romo, as the “G-Men” will have to stack eight men in the box. Of course, stacking eight men in the box means man coverage all over the field for Romo.

The Cowboys’ gunslinger is a sure bet to be a Top-10 play at the quarterback position this week, as his streak of games with multiple touchdown passes rises to five. Start with confidence.

Week 7 Prediction: 22-of-3o completions, 299 passing yards, three touchdowns
