LeBron James Is A Fantasy MVP Candidate

LeBron James may have taken a break earlier this season to rest his body and mind, but he is now back in MVP form. James might not win the official award due to all the other worthy nominees, but he should still be in consideration.

As far as fantasy basketball goes? LeBron is still an absolute beast. You’re talk about a guy who can fill up the stat sheet while also producing efficiently, and it would be hard to find a better option at this point than James. Kevin Durant has been wildly inconsistent mainly due to injuries, and all of the other fantasy MVP candidates are not as advanced on the defensive end.

If the Cleveland Cavaliers continue their recent winning ways to the top of a more competitive Eastern Conference, then we should hear more talk of James for basketball’s highest individual honor. Do not trade LeBron at this time for any other player in the game because it would be shocking to see him sit out more this season for mental rest purposes. I’m sure his body has been hurting at times in the last few years, but not to the point that it would have kept him out of the Finals.

If you get the opportunity to trade for James in your league, then grab him as quickly as possible. You would probably have to exchange a player like Durant or James Harden to make it happen, but I would not bet against the Cavaliers in the next month. It should be fun to watch this play out, and I envy the fantasy owner who has LeBron on their team.
