Green Bay Packers’ Greg Jennings Close to Returning From Concussion
Wide receiver Greg Jennings is close to returning back to the field for the Green Bay Packers. Jennings suffered a concussion during the team’s family night scrimmage back in early August and hasn’t been at practice since.
Jennings has followed all of the protocols the NFL has set up to return from head injuries and could be back as early as Sunday. The Packers’ number one receiver hasn’t played in both of the preseason games and it is still unclear whether or not he will play in the third game even if he is healthy.
Jennings doesn’t have a history of getting concussions so it will be interesting to see how he comes back from this injury and if it will cause more head injuries in the future.
There is no need to rush Jennings back onto the field considering he is a proven star on this team. He and Aaron Rodgers have had great chemistry the past few years and there is no doubt that it will still be there when he comes back. However, it would be good to see Jennings play in the next preseason game so he can get rid of any potential rust and get back into the football grind.
