The wide receiver draft this year is not as strong as last year. Once you get past Blackmon, it is up in the air on the next 10. The Texans should not reach for any of these wideouts in the 1st round just to add dept. Don’t forget the Texans where amongst the league leaders in passing yards with the same receiving core a couple of seasons ago. Skill position players like wideouts & tightends can be found in later rounds for less money (the Texans have cap issues so more then likely they will want to draft a player in the first round who will have a significant impact). Plus, the Texans are a run first team (see BIG MONEY giving to Foster) & they took the biggest lost this year on the offensive line. The Texans also need a pass rusher to add to there front seven. Yes the Texans do need dept in there receiving core but I don’t think they will address that need till the later rounds.
