Illinois picks up 9th 2012 commit
More good news for the Illinois Fighting Illini this weekend. Illinois has picked-up it’s 9th verbal 2012 commitment.
Here is a player profile of our new commitment.
Vontrell Williams- (3 star prospect, nationally ranked# 34 at his position)
He comes to us from Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois. 6 foot 2 inches, 275lbs., 40 yard dash 4.9-5.2 seconds. He picked Illinois over other FBS schools like Indiana, Kansas, Toledo, and Northern Illinois. Vontrell Williams finished his junior season with 40 tackles and 15 sacks. Has a self-proclaimed bench of 375lbs., a 560lbs. squat, and a 32 inch vertical leap. (unofficial)
Scout Report- Very tough kid, has good height, and carries good bulk. Perfect at the defensive tackle position.
